Fight Parkinson’s is here for you with information about treatments to help manage symptoms, and support services including Recently Diagnosed Seminars, to help you better understand your diagnosis – what it means and how to build a foundation to make you an expert in your own Parkinson’s journey.
Being equipped with knowledge and tools helps develop confidence while providing practical ways to manage living with the condition. Education empowers people to seek and use the best symptom management strategies, treatments, and therapies to live well with Parkinson’s or Atypical Parkinson’s (PSP, MSA, CBS).

Seminars
The Recently Diagnosed Seminars are a must-attend for anyone new to Parkinson’s.
Attending a seminar within five years of diagnosis will help you better understand what it means and how to build a foundation to make you an expert in your Parkinson’s.
These seminars provide a welcoming environment and family and close friends are also welcome to attend. You will learn the many ways to live well with Parkinson’s, including exercising and eating well. Other aspects of living with Parkinson's such as driving, working, relationships, holidays and travel are also explained.
The sessions are led by a Fight Parkinson’s specialist nurse and include time for questions. In most instances, it also includes a presentation by an individual living with Parkinson’s facing similar challenges. We welcome contributions from people living with Atypical Parkinson’s (PSP, MSA or CBS) and encourage participation in our seminar program too.
In line with Government-regulated COVID-19 restrictions, Fight Parkinson’s will continue to deliver our Recently Diagnosed Seminar program online until further notice. Learn more about the Recently Diagnosed Seminar program.
